Goal Setting in Middle R - Caitlin and Maggie
In Middle R we have been working on our school goals. Our goals help us to improve our learning. We have goals such as time tables, finishing the book boxes, writing and improving vocabulary. We get time in class to work on our goals and everyone uses this time to work really hard to complete their goals so that they can move onto their next goal.
My goal is the 12 times tables. I am finding this goal easy and can’t wait to get tested – Maggie
I am work on problem solving. I think I have more work to do on this goal – Caitlin. T
Teeball Training is Go - Jasper and Harry
For the last couple of weeks, 22 students from Grade Four to Six have been practising teeball to get ready for next Thursday's round robin against other school in the area. Our coaches are Bri and Dave and we have been out practising at recess and during our Friday PE sessions. We have definitely improved on our communication but we still have a little more to improve before we reach our peak. Harvey, Hillary, Ivy, Harry and Archer are our big hitters and Harvey again is great at catching. Micah is great at guarding home base. We'll keep you updated in the next newsletter about how we go!

Regional Swimming Swan Hill - Jamie and Hannah
On Tuesday the 10th of March we went to Swan Hill to compete in the Regional swimming event. It was a tough day, and no one was there to mess around. It all led up to that moment when the shrill beep that meant the race was on, everyone tried their very hardest to touch the wall first to earn the right to progress to State. In our races, backstroke and butterfly, we each got a PB (personal best). We both got 3rd in backstroke and are very proud of our efforts, mainly because we got a shiny bronze medal each. Sadly, we will not be going to State Championships. It was a fun day; well done to everyone who got that far, from Hesket or not.
Grade Six Jackets - Maceo
Last week our Grade Six jumpers arrived. The picture on their back has all of our names on it. It was designed by us with all of the Grade Six kid’s names as bumper stickers on a car driving away from Hesket. Stacy finished the design and sent it to be printed. They look great and are really cozy!
